North Wing Official Opening
March 11, 2020
The Albury Wodonga Community College held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the official opening of the newly built ‘North Wing’ at its 63 High Street, Wodonga facility.
The new wing provides student Information Technology lab facilities, music room and a second auditorium for student learning and coursework projects, and additional office space for 30 teaching staff. AWCC Chairperson, Kevin Poulton said that “these new facilities are essential to the senior secondary year’s education we seek to provide to our Indie School students and such training facilities also benefit the needs of other young adults undertaking our employment pathway and accredited training programs”.
“It’s fantastic to see staff and students putting the North Wing facility to use. This new facility assists AWCC in its vision to be a vibrant educational organisation, at the forefront of meeting the changing needs of our community in a flexible, innovative and positive way.” AWCC Chairperson, Kevin Poulton said.
Wodonga Mayor Cr Anna Speedie, Professor Derek Colquhoun officially opened the ‘North Wing’ with a ribbon cutting ceremony, assisted by Indie School student Tyler.
